Frequently asked questions
Below, you can find answers to some of the frequently asked questions regarding your stay at our hotel. You can find information about check-in and check-out times as well as the opening hours of all our facilities.

Rooms
- Check-in: From 3:00 PM
- Check-out: By 11:00 AM
- You have the option to add a late check-out when booking your room online.
- Small dogs are allowed in our pet-friendly rooms. There is a surcharge of 595,- which includes extra cleaning after the stay, snacks and dog bed and food/water bowl to use during the stay. If you have booked a room category where dogs are not allowed, you may be moved to another category.
- This must be pre-booked and can be done by contacting the reception.
- Pets are not allowed in our suites.
- It is a smoke-free hotel. Therefore, smoking is only allowed in our outdoor areas.
- There will be an additional charge of DKK 3,000 / 400 EUR for smoking indoors.
- Yes, there is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
- Wi-Fi: “Royalguest” and the code: “royalroyal”.
The hotel
- Yes, this is possible if we have capacity. However, this only applies Monday to Friday. Please contact the hotel directly to book a table and check availability.
- We serve breakfast in Queens Garden on weekdays from 07:00-10:00 and on weekends from 08:00-11:30.

We have a bar at our hotel, located in the beautiful ‘Queens Garden’. Our guests can enjoy a relaxing drink in a tranquil atmosphere without having to leave the hotel.
Casino Royal is not included in the stay when you book accommodation with us. However, the casino is a close partner and an option that many guests take advantage of to experience.
Payment
- We accept Dankort, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Please note that there is a surcharge for some credit cards – however, Dankort is always exempt from any additional fees. OBS! Our terminal unfortunately does not support contactless payments, so we kindly ask you to bring your physical payment card.
- It depends on the type of stay you have purchased and when you cancel it.

Yes, at check-in we ask for a credit card where we reserve an amount as a deposit.
This serves as security for any additional consumption during your stay (e.g. minibar, room service or parking).
The amount will not be charged, but only reserved temporarily.
If no extra usage is registered and the room is left in good condition, the amount will be automatically released within 24 hours after departure.
Parking

Hotel Royal does not have its own parking spaces, but we are always ready to help our guests, which is why we offer Valet Parking – where we take care of your car and of course we also guide you in finding parking near the hotel.
Our guests are always welcome to drive directly to the reception area, both to drop off their luggage and to receive further information about parking options.
Across from Hotel Royal, you will find Aarhus Cathedral, and along the cathedral, there is a small municipal parking lot available. You can pay using the usual parking apps or at the physical payment machine (Select ‘Red Zone, 8000’).
In the same area, there are designated parking spaces for electric vehicles with charging stations available. However, the maximum parking duration in those spaces is three hours.

Electric car charging is available, but spaces are limited, so please let us know in advance. -
Terms and Conditions for Valet Parking :The hotel disclaims all liability for the vehicle during the period it is in our possession, as well as during transport to and from parking or while parked (e.g., damage, collisions, vandalism, theft, or irregularities occurring with equipment such as antennas, lights, battery, etc.).We do not have insurance covering this type of damage or irregularities, and as a purchaser of this service, you must acknowledge and accept the associated risks.It is the owner’s own insurance that must cover any damages or similar incidents, and the hotel does not cover any potential deductible.
