Experiences for everyone
Hotel Royal is known for its impressive decor featuring leaded windows, hundreds of artworks, glass chandeliers, and antique furniture. Simply put, it is a hotel experience beyond the ordinary.
In the period leading up to the change of ownership of Hotel Royal in 1983, the old hotel had been largely stripped of its furnishings and art objects. Unfortunately, some of the precious items were sold at an auction. However, there are still very few exceptions in the form of individual pieces of furniture and artwork that are highly cherished. Since then, the decoration and art collection have been steadily built up under the current ownership.
Today, Boutique Hotel Royal can present an art collection of several hundred artworks. In addition to the art collection, there are also many artistic murals that Danish and international artists have created and installed directly on the walls of both the hotel and the casino. By starting afresh in an artistic sense, it has provided space and opportunities for many artists from different genres to showcase their work. Especially contemporary artists, whose works adorn the hotel throughout, both in the rooms and in the common areas.
The beautiful ceiling paintings found in selected rooms and other common areas make guests tilt their heads back and feel transported to Florentine museums and castle environments. Specielt nutidskunstnere, hvis værker pryder hotellet overalt, både på værelserne og i fællesområderne.
